Students are given practical knowledge of horticultural practices and Nursery establishment for entrepreneurship development. Ecofriendly practices of Vermicomposting Maintenance of class work material by PG Students Research Fields – Environmental Biology, Toxicology, Ethnobotany, Pollution Ecology, Biodiversity, Cytogenetics |
Our vision is to conduct innovative research, teaching and outreach on the patterns and processes of plant life and their environments. Committed to achieving excellence in dissemination and creation of knowledge to address modern day challenges in plant and molecular biology. To be a centre of excellence for plant sciences and environmental sciences. To make the students identify the local plants and their day to day importance Well qualified and committed teaching staff create a culture of nurturing creativity and scientific temper among the students . Our Department will continue to foster development of independent learning and thinking capacities of students and their employability skills that enrich their professions and communities. To establish collaboration with eminent institutes for betterment of the students To generate knowledge and produce researchers, leaders and graduates in various fields in plant sciences, microbial sciences and biotechnology capable of providing solutions to industrial, health, agricultural and environmental challenges. Focus on the patterns and processes that enable understanding of plants and their environments at local regional and global scales and strength in the area of ecology, evolution and systematic. Basic applied research on populations, communities and ecosystems, biogeochemical cycling, ethno botany. We offer B.Sc., M.Sc. & Ph.D.. in botany. In research and teaching our strength in participation interdisciplinary topics of ecology, molecular and cellular biology, pollution ecology, pharmacology which produced doctoral degree.
